About his service and the most memorable criminal cases, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” told senior investigator of the investigative Department of the UCK in Minsk Natalia Rogal.
Natalia since childhood dreamed of serving the Motherland. Even in school years, she knew for sure that she would wear epaulettes and painstakingly study multivolume criminal cases. Her career, while still a student, began in the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office, where she learned restraint, executive discipline and responsibility, which falls on the shoulders of a law enforcement officer.
After graduating from the Faculty of Law of the Institute of Law, N. Rogal came to the service of the Inquiry Department of the Soviet Internal Affairs Department, and after the formation of the Investigative Committee she became an employee of the capital’s investigation. Over the years, there were cases in its production that required not only legal literacy, but also psychological stability. Natalia specializes in investigating criminal cases against the person and sexual integrity, as well as extremist orientation.
“The work of the investigator implies a serious emotional load, constant communication with people,” she said. It is important in any situation to keep a cool mind and follow the law. For me, there are no trifles - it is important to fix each evidence procedurally.

This approach brings her well-deserved authority in the team. For conscientious attitude to the service, she was repeatedly encouraged by certificates and gratitude, was awarded the medal "For impeccable service" of the III degree.
One of the criminal cases, which happened to investigate Natalia, is connected with the attempted murder of a girl by her former young man. The story happened a year after their breakup. The defendant, driven by jealousy, came to the house of his beloved and saw how a stranger came out of her apartment. The attacker lured the girl into the street and inflicted 17 stab wounds, including in the neck. Fortunately, due to timely medical care, the victim survived. After numerous investigative and other procedural actions, interrogations and examinations, it was possible to restore the full picture of what happened and charge the defendant under the article. 14 part 2 of article 139 of the criminal code (attempted murder committed with particular cruelty). The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in prison.
Another resonant criminal case in the practice of N. Rogal was the investigation against a group of persons who, under the guise of legal massage parlors, organized a network of institutions for the provision of intimate services in the capital. Defendants issued training certificates to female employees in an attempt to give business the appearance of legality. As it turned out, only 20 girls were involved. The court found three defendants guilty under Part 2 of Art. 171 of the Criminal Code (organization and use of prostitution committed by an organized group).

Working in a daily intense rhythm, Natalia is able to maintain inner balance and vitality. In her free time, she relaxes in nature, enjoys swimming on a downboard and loves fishing, which gives you the opportunity to reflect. In the village of her mother, Natalia planted a garden, with special trepidation takes care of the trees and decorates the site with decorative plants.

On September 12, the Investigative Committee will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the department. This is not just a date in the calendar of the department, but a whole era of the formation and strengthening of traditions, the education of a generation of professionals for whom the service has become destiny. Over the years, the young department has become one of the key elements of the national security system of the Republic of Belarus – a reliable shield of the state, ensuring the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.
