Requiem in memory of the victims of the occupation was held in Mogilev on the eve of the Day of National Unity

A requiem in memory of the victims of the occupation, dedicated to the Day of National Unity, was held today, September 16, in Mogilev. The ceremony on Glory Square was attended by the leadership of the city executive committee, representatives of the deputy corps, labor collectives, organizations, public associations, youth, residents of Mogilev, who laid flowers to the Eternal Flame, writes sb.by.

- Historical justice was restored, we became one people again, reunited. This is very important because unity is our strength, because unity is the foundation on which we will build our future. It depends on us, and we have everything to create.

- National Unity Day is an important state holiday that emphasizes the strength of the Belarusian people. A people who went through hardship and pain under the yoke of Poland. This holiday is important for us, the participation of young people in such patriotic events is important – the current generation must remember its roots, know the history of our state.

- Since my first year, I have been a member of the military-patriotic search club Echo of War. Together with the Mogilev Regional Historical and Patriotic Search Club “Vikkru” we go to field expeditions, where we find artifacts, the remains of soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. We help in an important matter – so that those who gave their lives for the sake of living under a peaceful sky are not forgotten. You need to know the history of your people and pass it on to the next generations. I have younger brothers and sisters, and when I discover new facts, I always share them. For me, National Unity Day is a holiday that emphasizes the value of the unity of our people, the continuity of generations.
