In the youth space "Everest" in Kotlas, teenagers turned books into instructions for experiments
Everest Youth Space hosts interactive workshop “Touch Science”

An interactive workshop “Touch Science” was held in the Everest youth space. The main idea of the meeting is to transfer the children from the role of passive readers to the position of real researchers, for whom the book becomes a practical guide to understanding the laws of the surrounding world.
The basis for the experiments was a series of popular science books “Simple Science for Children”. The participants noted that physics, chemistry and biology in this format are perceived easily, visually and fascinatingly.
The culmination of the meeting was the experimental part. The guys conducted an experiment with the forces of surface tension: they evenly distributed the sequins over the water surface, and then added a drop of soap solution - under the influence of surfactants, the particles instantly rushed to the edges of the container. A simple action made it possible to visually see the work of physicochemical processes described by the authors.
