In 2027, the average salary in the Murmansk region may be about 150 thousand rubles. This is stated in the draft forecast of socio-economic development of the region for 2027-2029, published on the portal “Open electronic region”.
In real terms, wages in 2027 will be 2.8 percent higher than in 2026. By the end of 2029, the nominal salary will increase to 174.8 thousand rubles.
Income growth and poverty reduction will be helped by the development of the region’s economy as part of the Arctic zone, as well as the implementation of measures to achieve national goals and a regional program to reduce the share of the population with incomes below the poverty line.
It is also expected that the share of residents with incomes below the poverty line will decrease from 5.7 percent in 2025 to 5.3 percent in 2029.
According to Murmanskstat, the average salary in July 2026 amounted to 138.74 thousand rubles. This is 10.7 percent more than a year earlier.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that in the ranking of well-being, the Murmansk region rose by three positions to fourth place for the year.
