The relevant changes to the district law on education were considered at a meeting of the relevant commission of the Assembly of Deputies chaired by Yevgeny Shestakov.
The bill, prepared by the Department of Education and Sports on the initiative of the head of the region, is designed to expand measures to support families leading a nomadic or semi-nomadic lifestyle.
At the moment, at the expense of the district budget, schoolchildren from such families are delivered from the place of nomads to the place of study and back. One parent, guardian, grandparent can accompany the child free of charge. The bill proposes to provide free travel to children under eight years of age, if they travel with a parent or guardian who accompanies the student. Such a measure is needed for families in which the mother comes to the village with the eldest child-schooler and the youngest child of preschool age.
In addition, free seats on flights organized for the transportation of schoolchildren are offered free of charge to students studying in organizations of secondary vocational education of the district. They will be able to reach relatives in places of nomads, return to the place of study or to the place of residence of parents.
