In the Popular Front proposed a way to modernize treatment facilities in Zaozero

Activists of the Popular Front in Karelia initiated the process of including treatment facilities in Zaozerye village in the list of state programs. The corresponding appeal was sent to the regional Ministry of Construction, Housing and Energy.

The environmental situation in the village has been critical since 2014. Despite the fact that 50 million rubles were allocated for the construction of the facility, it never began to function due to the lack of connection to the power grid. As a result, wastewater for 12 years fall into the soil and waters of Logmoruchya and Logmozer.

According to experts, significant investments are needed to correct the situation: about 25 million rubles for project documentation and about 500 million for construction and installation works. Attracting funds through federal environmental projects or rural development programs is the only way to stop the communal crisis in Zaozero.
