Together with the Association of Nenets people "Yasavei" leading institutions of culture and additional education of the region held a children's ethno-holiday "Around Novaya Zemlya with Tyko".
For children, a rich program was prepared: drawings by Nina Novitskaya, coloring her pictures, a boat with a paddle, riddles, puzzles, pebbles and a Nenets pebble, distinguishing the sounds of the Arctic, helping Tyko in the search for a oleshka, thinking about where the Cape of Desire is located, and where the Vylki Bay is located, as well as watching how young artists paint carbas.
At the master class of Dmitry Novitsky on screen printing, according to the organizers, a record was set for the number of portraits of Tyko Vilka: hooded out, Vilka with a mustache upstairs, Vilka with a mustache down, Vilka without a mustache, Vilka with ears and without them. Most of the portraits were taken home by young artists.
Also, the Nenets children’s group “Haniyko” performed at the holiday, the book “Tyko History” was read aloud. The audience was thanked for their attentive eyes and cheerful applause. Participants played at the venues and received prizes: someone went for the book and won it with their clear work, and someone just enjoyed it and was happy to bookmark.
The organizers noted that the guests learned a lot about Ilya Konstantinovich Vylka, his beloved Novaya Zemlya and the culture of the Nenets people. Ahead is the presentation of a special issue of the magazine “Punushka”, which is completely dedicated to Tyko and his small homeland.
