In Nizhny Novgorod, playgrounds can fall into boiling water

Deputy Chairman of the city Duma of Nizhny Novgorod and General Director of JSC “United utility operator” Dmitry Sivokhin suggested the Department of improvement not to allocate districts budget funds for playgrounds without coordination with resource-supplying organizations. According to him, the installation of such sites over utility networks, especially thermal ones, is fraught with tragedies and additional costs.

Sivokhin gave an example of the situation in the Gordeevsky district: utilities came to eliminate the leak on the networks, and above them is a new expensive playground. Many sites in the city are installed under the project "You decide!", and when choosing sites, initiative groups agree on the boundaries with management companies.

“House management companies seem to be targeting heat networks. We understand that, firstly, boiling water flows through the pipes, and secondly, we will sooner or later come to change these pipes. When boiling water is spilled, a tragedy can happen, because mothers and children can be on top, the director of the OKO said.

Sivokhin added that only over the networks of OKO in Nizhny Novgorod there is already a certain number of playgrounds, which is why the organization “sleeps poorly”. The question on these sites, the utility operator sent to the head of the city: on the one hand, no one wants popular anger because of the transfer of sites, on the other hand, the safety of people resting on them is important.
