In Nyandom forestry, specialists and business have worked out the skills of forest taxation

In Nyandom forestry, a joint training on forest management was held within the framework of public-private partnership. This was reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and LPC of the Arkhangelsk region.

The event took place on a plot leased by PKP Titan LLC. It was attended by representatives of business, the regional specialized ministry and experts of the Vologda branch of the FSBI "Roslesinforg" - "Sevlesproekt". They worked out practical skills of qualitative and quantitative assessment (taxation) of forest plantations. As a result of the audit, all specialists received a positive assessment of qualifications and admission to field work.

Legislation obliges tenants to perform forest management work at their own expense. This year alone, Titan has completed such work on an area of 300,000 hectares.

- The development of public-private partnership in the field of forest management is a strategic priority for our region, said Anna Sheveleva, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry of the Arkhangelsk Region. When a large timber business commits to financing forest taxation, and government agencies ensure standards control and data verification, everyone wins.

The customer of forest management works is the tenant himself. The company noted that it is important for businesses to have accurate information about the entrusted territory and control the quality of work at all stages.
