In the regional center begins the second stage of the restoration of the Kostroma Kremlin

The press service of the governor reports that Sergey Sitnikov held a working meeting with Metropolitan Ferapont of Kostroma and Nerecht and philanthropist Viktor Tyryshkin.

The meeting discussed the prospects for the restoration of the second temple of the Kostroma Kremlin – the Assumption Cathedral (see photo). The contractors have already completed all the preparatory work, provided waterproofing of the foundation, poured a monolithic slab between the main hall and the entrance, and also erected a support wall. Recently, a large batch of bricks was delivered to the site and the builders began the construction of the walls of the second temple.

During the discussion of the construction plans, the governor said that the project for the restoration of the shrine was developed by leading specialists from the Moscow Architectural Institute, so that the restored temple will be an exact copy of the historical original.
