The date was named by the deputy director of the MBU “Special Base for Sanitary Cleaning of the City of Orel” Dmitry Kuznetsov in an interview with the TV channel “First Regional”.

Dmitry Kuznetsov recalled that the contractor had to hand over Komsomolskaya Street under a contract earlier this summer, but the work that began was suspended. “There was a cash gap that led to a temporary suspension of work. Now the situation is gradually rectifying, although the contractor is still not working at the right pace. At the moment, work has been completed on the sidewalks, light supports have been installed, which are also supports of the trolleybus traffic contact network. In the near future, the alignment of exit pockets on the roadway should be completed, the deputy director of the MBU “Special Base for Sanitary Cleaning of the City of Orel” explained.

He also added that the company still has to increase the hatches of observation wells, level the road surface and lay the upper layer of asphalt.

According to Dmitry Kuznetsov, the contractor intends to recover a fine for prolonged repairs.

MK in Orel reminds that in 2026 the next stage of repair of Komsomolskaya Street, one of the longest streets of the capital of the 57th region, began. The cost of the contract totaled 333 million rubles. The term of work, according to the contract, until June 2, 2026, but the deadlines have been shifted.
