Member of the Youth Parliament Vitaly Nikulin held an event for children dedicated to courage, heroism and preservation of historical memory. The meeting was held yesterday, October 22, in the walls of the Public Support Headquarters of the Orel region.

The speaker spoke about the brave heroes of the Oryol land and other regions of the country, about their exploits, fortitude and devotion to the Motherland. One example was the story of a native of the village of Mogovka, Shablykinsky district of the Orel region, Hero of Russia, pilot Ivan Leonov. After being seriously injured and losing his left arm, he was able to return to the sky and continue his service.

Such meetings help to see in the history of living people: to find out what they went through, what values gave them strength and why the memory of their actions persists through generations.
