In the Oryol village of Khomutovo eliminated unauthorized landfill

In the village of Khomutovo, Orel region, a spontaneous waste dump was removed, which for a long time did not pay attention to local authorities. The violation was revealed by the Novoderevenkovsk Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office during the inspection of compliance with environmental legislation.

According to the press service of the supervisory authority, household waste accumulated on Pervomaiskaya Street. Despite the complaints, the administration of the city settlement did not take measures to restore order.

To force officials to remove the garbage, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit in court. The inaction of local authorities was recognized as illegal and ordered them to eliminate the spontaneous dump.

Currently, the court decision has been executed: the territory has been completely cleared of waste.
