In the Orel region, the lawyer deceived clients and was left without work

In the Orel region, the Bolkhov district court sentenced a local lawyer. He was found guilty of fraud. The violations were revealed by the prosecutor's office, after which a criminal case was opened.

According to the press service of the Ministry, in 2022, the lawyer twice deceived gullible clients. First, a woman turned to him to inherit three land shares. The lawyer took money from her, but did nothing. Moreover, he persuaded the client to sell these shares at a price below their actual value. As a result, the woman lost more than 141 thousand rubles.

In the summer of the same year, another local resident asked for help with the registration of real estate by inheritance. The lawyer took 51 thousand rubles, but again he did not fulfill his obligations.

The court sentenced the lawyer to a fine of 280 thousand rubles. He was also banned from practicing law for 2 years.
