In the Ostrovsky Central District Library, as part of the fourth stage of the Sanprosvet lecture hall, the head of the territorial department of Rospotrebnadzor for the Pskov region Nonna Shagova met with representatives of rural libraries. About this "MK in Pskov" reported in the press service of Rospotrebnadzor.
Librarians communicate with fellow villagers every day and become a reliable source of information for them.
The topic of the meeting is especially important: after 60 years, the flu often leads to serious complications, and after 85 years, the risks become even higher. The main focus was on vaccination.
Nonna Shagova explained why the vaccination should be done every year: influenza viruses change, and the composition of the vaccine is updated for current strains.
She named three main advantages of vaccination: it significantly reduces the risk of getting sick if a person still gets sick - the disease will pass easier and without complications, and also infects others much less often.
Participants were asked about contraindications, the composition of vaccines and how to tell library visitors about it.
Librarians received information booklets for rural libraries.
