In the area of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve in the south of Moscow, a new MegaFon base station appeared. Thanks to additional equipment, the operator increased the capacity of the mobile network near one of the largest park complexes in the capital. The press service of the mobile operator reported that now visitors to the park and residents of neighboring areas can use mobile Internet with an average speed of 137 Mbps.
Installed base stations operate in medium and high frequency bands. This allowed to expand the coverage in the park and increase the number of subscribers that the network can serve simultaneously. The equipment also helps maintain a stable connection during high load hours.
“Capital parks have long become full-fledged places of recreation, where regular events and concerts are held. We take these features into account when developing infrastructure in the capital. So, over the year, the volume of Internet traffic in the park increased by about 2.4 times, voice traffic by 3.3 times, and the number of calls increased by almost 2.5 times, said Timur Fakhrutdinov, director of infrastructure projects at MegaFon in the Moscow region.
According to him, such dynamics is primarily associated with the expansion of network capabilities.
The Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve is one of the popular resting places in the south of Moscow, where the palace ensemble of the XVIII century, picturesque ponds, walking alleys and the famous light and musical fountain are located.
