In the Penza reservoir will release 423 thousand fry

Chairman of the Government of the Penza region Nikolai Simonov held a meeting on how to improve the ecology of the Penza reservoir on the Sur. The discussion was attended not only by officials from the Ministry of Forestry and Rosrybolovstvo, but also by scientists, as well as heads of large enterprises - from Gorvodokanal and Mayak to T Plus and Atmis-Sugar.

The meeting focused on the compensatory release of biological resources. Large companies in the region have already populated the reservoir with carp fry. This has already yielded fruit: the water condition in the reservoir has improved markedly.

By the end of autumn, in October and November 2026, another 423,896 fish are planned to be sent to Suru.

Nikolai Simonov thanked the organizations for their serious assistance in improving the water area and handed them letters of thanks. Work on the cleanliness of the reservoir will continue.
