In the Penza region on October 15 will be the raid “counter strip”

On Thursday, October 15, on the roads of the Penza region will be a preventive event “Counter Strip”. Employees of the traffic police will identify drivers who violate the rules of exit to the oncoming traffic lane.

The main purpose of the raid is to reduce the number of road accidents associated with leaving for the oncoming lane.

The Penza State Traffic Inspectorate reminded that for such a violation, provided for by Part 4 of Article 12.15 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, the driver faces a fine of 7.5 thousand rubles or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of four to six months.

For the repeated commission of a similar offense, a stricter punishment is provided - deprivation of a driver's license for one year. If the violation is recorded by an automatic camera, a fine of 7.5 thousand rubles is imposed.

Employees of the traffic police stressed that going to the oncoming traffic lane with violation of the rules often causes serious accidents in which people are injured and die.

Drivers were urged to comply with traffic rules and not to make dangerous maneuvers.
