In the Penza region held “Good meetings” for veterans of the Ministry of Emergency Situations

Veterans of fire protection, who gave profession for many years, deserve special attention. Some of them just want to talk and feel that they are remembered. Others need real support at home.

In Penza EMERCOM found a way to combine both. Employees of the department, who had free time from duty, as well as activists of the Youth Council regularly visit honored firefighters. Young people do not sit idly by: they take shovels and rakes in their hands, clean up the site, tinker in the garden and help with minor repairs.

However, the benefits of such visits are not unilateral. For beginners, this is a real skill school. Veterans are happy to remember the past, share everyday wisdom and professional subtleties. Young people, in turn, absorb this knowledge and adopt the glorious traditions of service.

Such actions, which in the units are called “Good meetings”, are held on an ongoing basis.
