In the Penza region are investigating a fatal accident on the federal highway

In the Kuznetsk interdistrict investigative department of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Penza region opened a criminal case about a fatal accident. He was qualified under paragraph "c" of part 4 of article 264 of the criminal code of Russia. This is a violation of traffic rules by a person who does not have the right to drive a car. This violation caused the death of a person by negligence.

According to the investigation, the tragedy occurred on November 8, 2026 about 4 hours. On the highway M5 "Ural" in the Kuznetsk district of the Penza region faced cars and trucks. As a result of the accident, a 16-year-old passenger car driver and his 18-year-old passenger died at the scene.

Now investigators and criminologists of the regional investigation department carry out a complex of investigative actions. They are aimed at establishing all the circumstances of what happened. As part of the investigation of the criminal case, a legal assessment will be given to the actions or inaction of officials of the system of prevention of neglect and juvenile delinquency.
