In the Penza region, the network of fast charging stations for electric vehicles continues to expand. The new facility was put into operation in Nikolsk. It was the 28th in the region.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the Penza region, charging infrastructure is developing not only in the regional center, but also in municipal districts. Currently, electric charging stations operate in Kuznetsk, Moksha, Kamensky, Serdob, Nizhnelomov, Belinsky and Gorodische districts.
The expansion of the network allows owners of electric vehicles to more conveniently plan trips in the Penza region. At the same time, work on the installation of new facilities continues. By the end of 2026, the number of charging stations in the region is planned to increase to almost 30.
Infrastructure development is associated, among other things, with an increase in the number of electric vehicles. According to the regional State Traffic Inspectorate, as of January 1, 2026, 1,484 electric cars were registered in the Penza region. In two years, their number has increased almost sixfold.
Support measures are provided for the owners of such transport in the region. In particular, they are completely exempt from the payment of transport tax.
In addition, some charging stations are included in the so-called “white list”. They can be used even in conditions of limited access to the Internet.
The region expects that further expansion of charging infrastructure will make the operation of electric vehicles more convenient and will contribute to the development of environmentally friendly transport.
