In Perm detained courier scammers who cheated pensioners for 13 million rubles

In Perm, two criminal cases of fraud on an especially large scale were initiated, according to the GU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Perm Territory. Under suspicion was a resident of Perm 2002 year of birth, according to GU MIA in the Perm region.

In the duty part of the police in the Kirov district appealed 80-year-old local resident. The pensioner was the victim of phone scams. According to the applicant, from April to September, she received regular calls in the messenger from unknown persons who posed as FSB officers. Under various pretexts, the attackers persuaded the Permyak to withdraw all the savings and transfer them to the courier. The total amount of damage was 4.5 million rubles.

As a result of operational measures, employees of the regional FSB detained a girl who played the role of a courier in a fraudulent scheme. The suspect explained that she found the job online. The defendant had to take money to the addresses specified by the “employer” and transfer it to the “curators”.

Police found that the victim of the courier was another Perm pensioner. The total amount of material damage caused to the victims amounted to 13 million rubles.

The girl was taken into custody. Her involvement in other similar episodes is being investigated.
