The first Belarusian-Chinese tourism forum, which will be held in Brest from 19 to 22 October, will be attended by representatives of 11 provinces of the People's Republic of China. This was announced today, on October 15, by Valery Labun, General Director of the Brest Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at a briefing with journalists, writes sb.by.

"Partnership and travel without borders" is the theme of a large-scale forum, in which about 150 representatives of government agencies, business and experts from Belarus and China are expected to participate. The business program will include discussion panels, negotiations and signing of cooperation documents. Valery Labun said that the speakers will exchange practices to support inbound tourism, the development of tourist zones, and the expansion of cooperation.
He highlighted:
— It is symbolic that the forum will be held in Brest — a city with a thousand-year history, which connects the cultures and peoples of many countries. Belarus and China are bound by a strong all-weather strategic partnership, laid down by the Heads of our states long ago. The name of the forum fully reflects its main essence. We strive to erase any borders for travelers, create comfortable innovative routes that will allow citizens of China and Belarus to learn more about the traditions, rich culture and unique nature of our countries. The tourism industry is one of the main drivers of economic growth in many countries. The leadership of our country, the Brest region, has set the task to make the most of our geographical opportunities, the hospitality of Belarusians to receive tourists,

— The forum will cover a wide range of issues that are important for business representatives of our country, — announced the General Director of the Brest Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. — Over the past 30 years, China has stepped very far in economic development. If in the coming years we attract up to 100 thousand Chinese tourists to the country, this will be a significant step in the development of the entire economy. Developing tourism pulls other sectors of the national economy along with it.
At the panel sessions, the forum participants will discuss the prospects of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation in the field of tourism, investments, infrastructure and practical tools for tourism business, training of specialists, digital marketing and blogging.
Answering the question of the sb.by correspondent about the strengthening of contacts in the field of agritourism, Valery Labun noted that this topic will also be identified at the forum:
— As part of the acquaintance of the Chinese delegation with the Brest region, we plan to show some agrotourism facilities. The forum will be attended by owners of agricultural estates. Preparation for it was carried out thoroughly, we invited practitioners with answers to questions in which we are still slipping. In the future, we look forward to holding a larger tourist forum, and in the warm season, in order to show our guests all the beauty and uniqueness of Brest region. There will be more guests from China. Belarus presented its tourism potential at the international exhibition Photo of the Brest Regional Executive Committee in Beijing.
