In the Pervomaysky district opened a playground, which embodied two civic initiatives

Two civic initiatives were implemented by residents of houses located within the street. Heroes of the 120th Division and Rogachevskaya. The grand opening of the facility took place on September 8, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

The ideas of Irina Alshanik and Nikolai Sidorenko, who proposed to create conditions for games and for the sports development of children and adolescents, were put into practice.

- When in 2024 we began to implement the project of civil initiatives in the city, the list contained only 14 applications, said Artem Tsuran, Chairman of the Minsk City Council, at the opening ceremony. There are already 70 of them this year and 52 are in the works. Together we build our gardens. And most importantly, the funds that the city allocates for the implementation of these initiatives go to the implementation of ideas that residents choose for themselves.

- Having submitted an application for the competition, we were anxiously waiting for the result - whether it would be accepted. Our hopes were justified, funds were allocated from the city budget for the implementation of the project, and the housing cooperative provided financial assistance, Sidorenko said. And the result was this beautiful platform, where there are classes for both kids and teenagers. Moreover, not only residents of our houses, but also the entire quarter can come here.

According to Vadim Perednya, head of the Pervomaysky district administration, if two initiatives were implemented in the district last year, this year their number increased to four. Now the administration is collecting proposals from citizens for the next year and sees that there are addresses in the area, from where proposals come two years in a row.

- People see that this mechanism works, and gives a positive result, said V. Perednya.

- Civil initiatives are not just the improvement of the courtyard or adjoining territory, said the deputy of the Minsk City Council from the Rogachev constituency No. 56, where these initiatives were implemented, Sergey Mazovka. It is also the consolidation of residents. People sometimes do not know those who live in the next apartment, and the joint work associated with the implementation of the initiative unites them.
