In Petrozavodsk opened a criminal case on the death of a woman in a fire

Investigative authorities of Karelia charged a 46-year-old resident of the Karelian capital. The man is suspected of committing a crime under the article on causing death by negligence.

The tragedy took place on October 13 in one of the apartments of the house located on the street of the Sulazhgorsk brick factory. According to the investigation, the defendant in the case, being drunk, provoked a fire in the bathroom. As a result of the incident, his 41-year-old partner died from acute poisoning by combustion products.

At the moment, the employees of the Investigative Committee continue to collect evidence and establish details of the incident. For such an offence, the law provides for various penalties, including real deprivation of liberty for up to two years.
