The VII Inclusive Festival “Hearing with the Heart” was held in the Arkhangelsk City Cultural Center. The event brought together artists with hearing impairments and without health restrictions.
The festival is timed to the 100th anniversary of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf (VOG), an organization that defends the interests of people with hearing impairments in the cultural, educational and sports spheres.
Professional and amateur artists from Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Kotlas and other cities of the region performed on the stage. They presented joint numbers in the genres of sign singing, dance, clowning and pantomime.
Kotlas dance group "Primadonna" participates in the festival not for the first year. Its head Ksenia Logunova noted that the dancers of the school have been cooperating with hearing impaired artists from the Vychegodskaya special (correctional) boarding school for 11 years: We make joint creative projects, organize charity concerts and participate in the festival. Hearing children learn sign language, and hearingless children learn choreography, so we unite them and discover new talents in each.”.
