To help parents. In the Soviet region held an educational "Lesson in the Temple"

“Lesson in the Temple: educate together”, dedicated to the Mother’s Day and the Week of Parental Love, was held in the Church of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky on October 14, reports the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

The educational project was attended by mothers of students of schools and gymnasiums of the Soviet district. The organizer was gymnasium No. 15, on the basis of which a resource center for spiritual and moral education was created.

- The Week of Parental Love begins with Mother’s Day, which coincides with the Orthodox holiday of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God. That's why we invited our women to the temple. It depends on you, mother, what future our children will have and what people they will grow up to be, said Ellada Vlasenko, deputy of the Minsk City Council of Deputies, director of gymnasium No. 15. I am sure that the participants will receive answers to many exciting questions during an open dialogue with the Belarusian Orthodox Church. We are always ready to meet our parents and help them.

According to Vlasenko, this format of meetings is very much in demand. In the Soviet district, the lesson is held for the second time.

The visitors were addressed by the deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Natalia Dergach.

- These holidays symbolize protection and intercession. With mother begins the world, with mother begins life. Thank you, dear mothers, for sleepless nights, warm hands, for all the love you give to our children. We must show by example all that is good in our lives, she said. I want every mom and dad to be proud of their kids. Let them grow up in kind, friendly, loving families.

In addition, the educational lesson for mothers was attended by the clergyman of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ Vladimir Kopiev, head of the education department of the administration of the Soviet district Inessa Sobolenko, head of the coordination of methodological support for educational work of MGIRO Nina Zakhozhaya.

The clergyman of the church of Prince Alexander Nevsky Vitaly Kolyada conducted a tour of the church. He showed valuable relics and told amazing facts from the history of the cult object.

The importance of such events was told by the participant of the lesson Galina Voronkova:

- People need sincere communication all the time. Sometimes we can get answers simply by going to church and turning to God in private. Children should be taught to the pure, spiritual from early childhood. Then they'll be kinder. As adults, we need to help them choose the right path.

The event ended with a thanksgiving service in honor of the Most Holy Mother of God.
