In the village of Ondozero completed the reconstruction of the bridge

The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Karelia reported on the commissioning of the updated bridge on the 32nd kilometer of the highway leading to the village of Ondozero. This crossing is a key transport hub for local residents, connecting them with the village of Rugozero. About 50 people are currently registered in Ondozero itself, most of whom are elderly people.

During the repair work, the old wooden structure, which came into disrepair, was dismantled. In its place built a reliable bridge of metal and wood. Earlier, due to the dilapidation of the object, a strict limit was in effect: cars heavier than 3 tons were forbidden to move on the bridge. The updated facility fully complies with modern safety standards and removed all travel restrictions.

Recall that the issue of repair was raised by residents of the village during the “Straight line” with the head of the region at the end of 2025. The project was carried out by specialists of the Kondopoga DRSU. Financing of the works was carried out at the expense of the republican budget within the framework of the program for the development of transport infrastructure of Karelia.
