In Chuvashia started the heating season. The first to receive warmth were social institutions – schools, kindergartens and hospitals. Then the connection of apartment buildings began. According to official data, 4,080 out of 4,096 houses have received heat, which is 99.6% of the republic’s housing stock. Despite this, residents still have questions: why in some apartments batteries are still cold and where to go for recalculation. These topics were discussed live on the SDGs of Chuvashia. Preparation for winter in the republic went all year: hydraulic tests, repair of boiler houses and CHP, replacement of dilapidated areas. In 2025, in Cheboksary and Novocheboksarsk, 30 km of heating networks were updated, in 2026 even more are planned - 33.23 km in Cheboksary and 3.91 km in Novocheboksarsk. “Our task is not just to turn on the heat, but to ensure its stable supply throughout the winter,” said Vladimir Tikhonovich.
The main reason for uneven heating in the first days is the air in the system. After starting, the coolant fills first the highways, then the intra-house networks. If the batteries remain cold for more than a day, residents need to contact the management company: it is the UK that is responsible for the intra-home system and is obliged to blow the air. “The heat supply organization is responsible for supplying the resource to the wall of the house. Then the zone of responsibility of the management company or HOA begins, said Lyubov Alexandrova.
If the Criminal Code is inactive, the resident has the right to apply to the regulatory authorities. As for the fee, the charges go for the actually consumed resource: during repair work, the meter does not record consumption, and the recalculation is done automatically. Those who still receive paper receipts were reminded: you can switch to electronic through the Energosbyt+ application.
Separately, the participants of the broadcast touched upon the topic of debt. Funds for heat and hot water are used for repair and modernization of networks, so non-payments hit the reliability of heat supply. Angry defaulters are threatened by courts and limiting the supply of resources is an extreme measure, but it is applied after all the procedures provided for by law.
