In the Pskov region summed up the work of the police for nine months

The regional Ministry of Internal Affairs held a meeting on the results of operational and service activities of the internal affairs bodies for January-September 2026. It was attended by members of the Board of Directorate, heads of departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and territorial bodies at the district level. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Pskov region, police major-general Alexei Ovsyannikov, addressed the audience with an opening speech. It was noted that the socio-political situation in the region remains stable, violations of public order during mass events were not allowed.

For the nine months of 2026, 5,041 crimes were registered in the region - 9.1% less than in the same period of 2025. Serious and especially serious crimes decreased by 33.4%. The number of intentional infliction of serious harm to health decreased by 12.8%, murder and attempted murder by 27.8%. The detection rate of murder and attempted murder, intentional infliction of serious harm to health was 100%.

The share of crimes using information and telecommunication technologies in the overall structure of crime is 33%, while in absolute terms their number decreased by 28.1%.

The meeting ended with an award: the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented departmental awards to a group of distinguished employees.
