In Rasskazovsky district detained a pensioner with a large batch of marijuana

Employees of the drug control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Rasskazovsky” stopped the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs in the village of Nizhnespasskoe. During the operational-search measures on October 19, law enforcement officers detained a 68-year-old local resident.

The man was found and seized a substance of plant origin. According to the study, seized is a drug “marijuana”. The total weight of the find exceeded 600 grams, which qualifies as a large size.

Currently, the seized was sent for examination. Police officers documented the unlawful actions of the detainee and are conducting further investigative measures. Work is underway to establish the possible involvement of the man in other similar episodes.

It is known that the defendant had previously been in the field of view of law enforcement officers. In his biography there are convictions for theft and intentional infliction of slight harm to health.

On this fact, the investigative unit opened a criminal case for the illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of narcotic drugs. The sanction of this article is punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years with a fine. The investigation is ongoing.
