In the Russian region for the week shot 51 bears, threatening people

In Buryatia over the past week shot 51 bears, which posed a threat to residents of settlements. This was reported by the Republican service for supervision in the field of environmental management.

According to the agency, measures were taken against predators that appeared in settlements or were in close proximity to them, posing a threat to human life and health.

During the week, specialists made 85 visits after citizens’ appeals. Work was carried out including in Severobaikalsk.

A total of 397 bears were killed during the entire period reported by the agency.
