The Republican Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children hosted a meeting of graduates “Success Territory”

Today, on September 15, a festive meeting of graduates of the Territory of Success was held at the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children. This is reported by the correspondent of sb.by.

Guests were greeted with sincere smiles, children's laughter and a dance composition with paper stars. In the creative workshop "Autumn bouquet" on bright maple leaves, it was possible to leave a warm message to the students and the staff of the center. In addition, the guests were waiting for the breathing practice “Organ Pipe” and the interaction “First Thought”, where they had to guess what the child was experiencing when they first got to the rehabilitation center. For each task, the participants received a sticker – their little “superpower”.

Among the graduates of the rehabilitation center are students and young professionals who have already found their place in the profession. Their stories are especially important for those who are just starting out today.

For Yana Olekhnovich, the road to the profession began here. For the first time she came to the institution as a four-year-old child. Over the years, a lot has changed, but there were familiar teachers. Now Yana herself works as a teacher and helps those who are just starting to get acquainted with this place.

- The center opened the door to my profession. The people who were my teachers are now my colleagues, says the young teacher. Talking about the future started long before school. I know I love working with kids and I want to do that. She got an education, worked in a kindergarten, and then returned here, to her native and familiar walls. The center is a space in which children find friends, learn to interact with others and gradually gain confidence. Creative activities, holidays, communication with specialists help to discover abilities that over time can become the basis of the future profession.

Ulyana Voroshilova first came here at the age of three, annually undergoing rehabilitation. Today, the girl is a student of Baranovichi State University, where she receives socio-pedagogical and psychological education. By the way, over the years of rehabilitation there have been noticeable changes in physical condition.

- The experts helped me a lot. Previously, I could not stand on my heels, but now I fully walk, and almost do not see my diagnosis.

There are many such stories in the institution. Last year, out of 74 graduates, nine entered higher education institutions, another 21 chose secondary special education. Among the current students are future doctors and pharmacists, economists and lawyers, teachers and historians.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Marina Artemenko stressed that the opportunity to build your own life route is the main result of social rehabilitation. Today, children with disabilities are provided with the necessary set of benefits and support. At the same time, graduates of the center, along with other applicants, participate in the entrance campaign and successfully compete with sufficiently high requirements for applicants.

State policy in this area is aimed not only at obtaining education, but also at further social and professional inclusion. Employment opportunities for people with disabilities are expanding, special jobs are being created, and additional employment mechanisms are being used.

- We see that this support is working. A person gets a profession, finds his vocation, a job, meets friends and lives a full life. The most important thing is to give an opportunity to believe in yourself and know that everything will work out, said Marina Artemenko.

Another important event of the meeting was the transfer to the center of the certificate for a special minibus MAZ-365022 for 12 seats. The gift was presented by representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo.

This magical story began in the winter. During the New Year holiday, the guys met with Santa Claus from Veliky Ustyug and told about a long-standing dream - to have your own transport. That wish came true.

Deputy head of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Belarus Elizaveta Andreeva admitted that the meeting with the guys became a source of strong emotions for her.

For students, this is not just a new car. Thanks to him, there will be more opportunities to go on excursions, get acquainted with the history of their native country, visit educational institutions and enterprises, which in the future may become part of their professional route.

Director of the center Lyudmila Kondrashova says that such meetings help to see the main thing - for what all the work of specialists is built.

- We just love our kids. We treat them with care and, most importantly, give confidence in the future, she said.

According to the head, comprehensive rehabilitation includes medical and socio-pedagogical assistance, as well as training. Equally important is the atmosphere around the child. When there is a professional team, parents, the state, volunteers and partners, the first independent steps gradually turn into confident progress.
