In Russia, fines want to raise to 50 thousand for driving without a license
Now for driving without a license (if never received or the document is overdue) fine – from 5 to 15 thousand

In Russia decided to take on drivers who sit behind the wheel without a license. A government commission has approved a bill that would seriously increase fines. This is reported by TASS.
Now for driving without a license (if never received or the document is overdue) fine – from 5 to 15 thousand rubles. They want to raise it to 15,000-30,000. And if caught again - from 30 to 50 thousand rubles. And no 25% discount in the first 30 days - you have to pay in full.
Why such rigor? According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, drivers without licenses systematically violate traffic rules, the number of accidents and deaths is growing. Every year, more than 12,000 people are involved in driving without a license three or more times. And there is no separate punishment for repeated driving - that is, it does not work out to apply stricter measures to malicious violators.
Important: this does not apply to those who have already been deprived of their rights and who again got behind the wheel. For them, the punishment is even more severe.
