In the Russian city, police seized counterfeit chewing tobacco for a huge amount

In Novosibirsk, police seized a large consignment of counterfeit chewing tobacco. Operational and search activities were carried out by employees of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city.

As reported in the central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the outlet on Sophia Street (Soviet district), law enforcement officers found and seized 375 packs of chewing tobacco without the necessary excise stamps. The total cost of seized products amounted to 3.5 million rubles.

Now the goods are sent for examination, the issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.

In addition, the police find out who is involved in the violation, and track the supply of counterfeit goods.
