In the Rostov region, the wear of heat networks reached 70%

In the Rostov region, the deterioration of heating networks has reached 70%, as reported by First Deputy Governor Vladimir Revenko at a press conference dedicated to the beginning of the heating season.

At the moment, the heat has already been served in 11 municipalities, including the southern regions of the region. Residents, given previous experience, fear possible utility accidents. Currently, the depreciation of heating networks in the region is estimated at 70%, while the rate of depreciation of municipal infrastructure is about 50%.

Revenko stressed that all necessary measures are being taken to reduce the level of wear. The main focus is on replacing heating systems. For example, this year, Rostov Heat Networks (RTS) laid 1.5 kilometers of new heating networks.
