In Saratov brought illegal cheeses, fish, cattle and honey
Saratov region becomes the center of attraction of smuggled goods

The Saratov region is becoming a center of attraction for smuggled goods. During the third week of October, several tons of undocumented trout, flower honey with false markings, and cows without veterinary certificates were tried to enter the region. This is the second batch of illegal immigrants in a month.
At the border point “Ozinki” of the Saratov region, the territorial Rosselkhoznadzor deployed two batches of fish from Kazakhstan. As reported by the Ministry on October 25, the first batch of fresh-frozen trout weighing 21 tons, the manufacturer did not attach the results of tests for antibiotics and toxins. The second batch was blocked for bureaucratic reasons – it was released even before the plant was officially included in the register of exporters.
This is the second attempt to bring fish into the region. In early October, 22 tons of trout, boar and bream from Kazakhstan were detained at the same border - the cargo was not missed due to problems with documents and the lack of an act on sanitary treatment of the refrigerator.
On October 26, it became known that on the Russian-Kazakh border in Ozinki, the Rosselkhoznadzor stopped a car with 13 tons of suspicious honey. As explained in the Ministry, the reason was violations in the documents: the carrier could not confirm that the refrigerator has passed the necessary sanitary treatment. In addition, the party had problems with marking — the net weight declared above the gross weight, which is technically impossible and clearly indicates the falsification of data, reported in the territorial Rosselkhoznadzor.
On the same day, in the Gagarinsky district of Saratov, traffic police officers together with specialists from the Saratov Interdistrict Security Service detained a batch of cows: cattle were being transported from the Volgograd region to the village of Svintsovka without veterinary documents. This was reported in the regional veterinary office. Buryonok-illegals under the supervision of specialists were taken back to the border of the Volgograd region – there they were already waiting for local veterinary services. We will remind, on October 19 in the Ershov district, employees of the veterinary department were looking for cows who escaped from an overturned truck. It turned out that the driver, who was carrying 30 head of cattle, did not have accompanying documents on the animals.
Customs officers also do not sleep: from July to September 2026, 5.7 kg of sanctioned cheese from Germany was detected in the Saratov region. This was announced at a press conference on October 22 by acting head of the Saratov customs Sergey Derevyanchenko. The list of illegal goods is impressive: 405 kg of vegetables and fruits, 3.1 thousand packs of gel for washing, almost 12 thousand packs of tobacco and nicotine-containing products - and all this without mandatory labeling. Also seized 192 units of electronics without documents confirming the right to sell. It is noteworthy that in the Penza region and Mordovia, which is overseen by the same agency, during the same period, no “sanctions” were found.
