In Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod region, the director of the municipal economy department of the local administration and the general director of a commercial company were detained - they are suspected of fraud on an especially large scale during the implementation of the national improvement project. The illegal activities of the defendants were stopped by employees of the FSB of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The scheme, according to the department, looked like this: the head of the contractor transferred to the administration knowingly false information about the work performed, and the official signed the acceptance acts and agreed on the invoices for payment. As a result, the municipality lost more than 2 million rubles.
In fact, a criminal case was opened, both defendants were detained.
