In the village of Hotilitsa Andreapoli district of the Tver region, the grand opening of the updated military burial took place. The ceremony is timed to the Day of the Coat of Arms and Flag of the Tver region and was held on the eve of the White Cranes Day - the day of memory of the fallen soldiers.

As noted in the administration of the district, during the restoration, the foundations were strengthened, memorial plates were updated and the adjacent territory was landscaped. Special attention was paid to the preservation of the names of the victims, so that the memorial could preserve the memory of those who did not return from the war for many years.

The opening was attended by representatives of the administration, villagers, schoolchildren and volunteers. The head of the municipal district in his welcoming speech thanked all the participants of the work and stressed the importance of careful attitude to historical memory and its transfer to the younger generation. Participants of the event honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence and laid flowers and white cranes at the memorial.
