In Serpukhov detained the courier of fraudsters

As reported in the Department of information and public relations of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region, in Serpukhov detained 44-year-old resident of Smolensk, suspected of aiding telephone fraudsters. A 65-year-old local woman called the police. She received a message in the messenger about the termination of the application with a request to enter a code to restore access. After that, on the screen there was an inscription about the hacking of the portal of public services.

Then the pensioner called unknown, who introduced themselves as employees of the single portal. They convinced the woman that her personal account was hacked and trying to transfer money to prohibited purposes. To save her savings, she was offered to transfer all funds to a trusted person. The victim agreed and gave the messenger a package with a million rubles. She later realized she had been cheated and went to the police.

While studying the recordings of surveillance cameras, the police established the identity of the courier and detained her at the place of temporary residence in Lyubertsy. The detainee explained that she found a part-time job in the messenger: she had to pick up and deliver items from citizens. I got assignments from the curator. A criminal case has been opened. The defendant was chosen a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions. Police identify accomplices and other episodes.
