The Leninsky district court of Sevastopol sentenced a 47-year-old local resident to three years in prison probation for the acquisition and storage of mephedrone on a large scale. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of Sevastopol.
As it was established, in July 2026, the man was seriously experiencing the death of his parents. During this period, he ordered mephedrone online for his own use. To pick up the parcel, he came to the post office on General Ostryakov Avenue, where he was detained by police officers.
The drug was in two bags hidden among candy in a cardboard box. The prohibited substance was removed from circulation. When imposing punishment, the court took into account the confession of guilt, repentance and the state of health of the defendant.
The man received three years of suspended imprisonment with a probation period of three years. During this time, the man must prove his correction.
Earlier it was reported that in February 2026, a court in Kerch sentenced a 53-year-old previously convicted local resident: he purchased and stored more than four kilograms of cannabis for personal use. The police seized the entire amount of the prohibited substance.
The man was found guilty and sentenced to three years in prison with serving in a high-security correctional colony; he was taken into custody right in the courtroom.
