Police are checking to see if a woman involved her 13-year-old son in dangerous trips: after an accident in which a woman suffered, she bought a teenager a new 2,200-watt electric scooter. According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, on October 11, police stopped the teenager on the Avenue of the October Revolution.

He was driving without a helmet or protective gear. The student did not have a driving license, and the scooter was seized and sent to a specialized parking lot.

According to police, in July 2025, a teenager on a scooter gifted by his mother knocked down a woman on Heroes of Stalingrad Avenue. The victim suffered a serious injury and went to the police the next day. Due to his age, the boy was not prosecuted.

Then the mother was made administrative material, and the Commission on juvenile Affairs obliged her to strengthen control over her son and restrict his access to the scooter. However, about a month later, the woman bought him a new two-wheeled electric vehicle.

After the October case, the mother was recomposed administrative material. The police also sent materials to the investigating authority to check for signs of involvement of the minor in life-threatening activities. The maximum penalty under this article is up to a year of imprisonment.
