The Skadovsk Museum of Local Lore held a thematic event dedicated to the World Bread Day. The participants of the meeting were schoolchildren and employees of the institution, who together remembered the importance of bread in people’s lives and got acquainted with the traditions of the past.

A thematic exhibition was prepared for visitors. It included ancient tools of labor of grain growers and samples of various grains. Considering the exhibits, the children learned how to grow grain and what a special meaning bread had in Russia. He was treated with great respect, considering him a symbol of work, prosperity and well-being.

During the meeting, students read aloud poems about bread. Poetic lines complemented the acquaintance with the exhibition and helped the participants to feel the theme of the event deeper.

In conclusion, the children together with the museum staff discussed why it is important to take care of bread and how many people of different professions participate in its production - from growing grain to baking finished products.

The guests noted that the meeting turned out to be informative and soulful, recalling the value of familiar products and respect for the work of those who provide them to people.
