In Smolensk on the Red hill Rosselkhoznadzor detained a batch of meat without documents

Specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor Department at the Krasnaya Gorka border veterinary control post in the Smolensk region stopped the fact of illegal transportation of controlled products. During the inspection of the vehicle, a batch of chilled pork ribs weighing about 850 kg was found. Despite the fact that according to the marking, the meat was produced in the Tver region, veterinary accompanying documents for the cargo were completely absent.

The inspection also revealed that the car was not equipped with the means to record and control the temperature regime, and its sanitary condition was found unsatisfactory. This transportation was carried out in violation of the Uniform veterinary requirements and technical regulations of the EAEU regulating the safety of food and meat products.

As a result of the incident, all products were withdrawn from circulation and disposed of in the prescribed manner, and the owner of the cargo was brought to administrative responsibility. In addition, the Ministry reminded business entities that the transportation of controlled goods should be carried out only in the presence of properly executed veterinary documents and in specially equipped transport.
