In Sochi, more than 70 high-rise buildings were prepared for shelter and removed 500 cubic meters of garbage
In the Khostinsky district continues to clear the basement of apartment buildings for possible use as shelters

In the Khostinsky district, the basement of apartment buildings is being cleared for possible use as shelters. As part of the activities, communal services and social activists organized work in more than 70 multi-storey buildings. More than 500 cubic meters of accumulated garbage were removed from the territories and premises.
Representatives of territorial public self-government, management organizations and municipal services were involved in the events. The main task is to free basement spaces from foreign objects and create conditions for their safe use in emergency situations. Special attention is paid to rooms that have been used for a long time to store old things.
One example of collaboration was the equipment of shelter in an apartment building on Road Street on Big Akhun. Preparation of the premises was organized with the participation of local residents and the management company. A significant amount of work was also carried out on Darwin Street, where more than 20 cubic meters of garbage and unnecessary property were removed from one basement alone.
The state of the cleared premises is under the control of the interdepartmental commission. The inspectors ensure that the cellars after cleaning again do not turn into storage places for household waste and bulky items. At the same time, the release of premises from garbage does not in itself mean confirmation of their suitability as protective structures: for this, it is necessary to take into account the technical condition of buildings and established safety requirements.
Residents of Sochi are reminded of the opportunity to file complaints about improper maintenance of common property of apartment buildings. Messages about cluttered basements can be sent to the city department of economy, through the portal "State Services" or the state information system of housing and communal services. If violations of mandatory requirements for the maintenance of common property are detected, management organizations may be brought to administrative responsibility.
