In Sochi, the islands of security will be turned into green areas

In Sochi, road infrastructure continues to be updated: specialists put in order markings, install signs and equip safety elements for pedestrians. Special attention is paid to the security islands near the post office – they plan to green.

According to the Department of Transport and Road Management of Sochi, work is being carried out at once in several parts of the city. Road services update horizontal markings on the carriageway and vertical markings on elements of road infrastructure, change signs and paint the necessary structures.

One of the areas of improvement was the territory near the Post Office. Here are put in order islands of security, which in the future should become small green areas. Thus, the usual dividing areas are planned to be supplemented with landscaping.

The changes also affected the intersection of Abrikosova and Makarenko streets. At this site, a new road marking scheme has already been applied and additional fences have been installed to improve pedestrian safety.

Updating the road infrastructure involves not only improving the appearance of streets, but also improving the ease of movement around the city.
