At the water intake in the village of Golovinka, Lazarev district of Sochi, work continues to restore the coastline of the Shahe River. According to MUP "Vodokanal" Sochi, the specialists completed about half of the planned work.
The facility involved 17 units of special equipment and more than 20 workers. In a month and a half, they managed to fully restore the precast pipeline, return it to its design position and divert the riverbed from the pumping stations.
Now the main efforts are aimed at pouring the water intake field. This is necessary to restore the damaged area and protect the water intake infrastructure.
Work was required after heavy rainfall in January and February. Due to heavy rainfall, the water level in Shah rose sharply. The stream washed the shore and washed the pipeline, creating a threat to engineering structures.
Restoration of the coastline should help strengthen the water intake area and reduce the risk of further damage to infrastructure as water levels rise in the river.
Earlier it was reported that in Sirius stopped the work of the singing fountain for repairs.
