In Staraya Russa will hear the “voice” of Dostoevsky at the competition of readers

The Museum of the novel “Brothers Karamazov” in Staraya Russa for the 12th time will host the Interregional competition of readers “Dostoevsky is my favorite writer”. The event will take place on October 21-24 and will be the next meeting of fans of the work of F. M. Dostoevsky in the autumn Staraya Russa, the press service of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve reported.

Teachers of universities and schools, students and students from the Novgorod region and neighboring regions are invited to participate. The program includes performances with excerpts from the favorite works of the classic.

Old Russa was a quiet harbor for Dostoevsky and a source of inspiration. It was here that the writer worked on the novels “Demons”, “Teenage”, “The Brothers Karamazov”, as well as on “The Diary of a Writer” and “Pushkin’s Speech”. Traditionally, on the eve of the author’s birthday, these texts again sound on the picturesque bank of the Peryatitsa River.

The jury will determine the best readers in six age categories. The names of the winners will be announced on November 11 – the birthday of F. M. Dostoevsky.
