In the capital of Karelia, the republican branch of YID was opened

The official opening ceremony of the Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Movement “Young Traffic Inspectors” of the Republic of Karelia was held in Petrozavodsk Specialized School of Arts.

This event marked a new stage in the development of the specialized children's movement in the region. The opening brought together YID units from different regions of the republic, teachers, inspectors of the State Traffic Inspectorate, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Karelia, as well as heads of the new Regional Office.

The YID movement in Karelia has a long history and strong traditions: today 113 schools of the republic actively participate in it, and profile groups unite more than 1,200 young participants. Karelian residents carry out daily large-scale preventive work: they conduct propaganda campaigns, teach younger schoolchildren the rules of safe behavior and make a significant contribution to reducing accidents on roads.

The creation of a single regional office will allow coordinating the efforts of all district detachments and giving a new impetus to the movement.

The festive day was marked not only by the official opening of the central office, but also by the addition of young assistants to the State Traffic Inspectorate. Right on the stage, the work of the new YID detachment, created on the basis of the school of arts, was launched. Students solemnly took the oath of young traffic inspectors, pledging to strictly observe the rules of the road and to be an example for peers.

One of the most exciting and symbolic moments of the event was the ceremony of handing over the YID flag, symbolizing the continuity of traditions, leadership and readiness to lead the younger generation.

The State Traffic Inspectorate of Karelia congratulates the heads and participants of the regional branch of the YID on the start of official work, and recruits on joining the ranks of the movement. Ahead of the Karelian young inspectors are waiting for new useful deeds, bright victories and, most importantly, great joint work for safety on the roads of their native land.
