In the capital of Ossetia are held events dedicated to the 167th anniversary of the birth of Costa Khetagurov

The mayor’s office of Vladikavkaz told about the events that take place in the city on the occasion of the 167th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding poet, the founder of Ossetian literature and literary language, the educator Kosta Khetagurov.

Traditionally, this day began with laying flowers at his grave. Commemorative actions and readings are held in city schools, kindergartens and libraries.

On the pedestal of the monument to Costa on Mira Avenue, a temporary information plate tinted with bronze was installed. In the future, it will be replaced by a permanent one made of bronze.

And on the facade of the 17th school of Vladikavkaz appeared graffiti with a portrait of the poet. On its creation worked students of the art school named after Azanbek Dzhanayev under the leadership of Honored Artist of the Republic Armen Gasparyanets. The drawing was prepared at the request of the school director Oksana Kazieva. The work took the students a week.

The image is complemented by the eternal lines of the poet: “Mи dune – kuvandon!” Uarzondzinad - M! Huytsau! It's not like you're in the middle. (The whole world is my temple!) Love is my shrine! The universe is my homeland!, reports the information resource Sapa 15.

“Costa is the conscience and voice of our people. Let his immortal lines sound as often as possible. His name is carried by North Ossetian State University, youth center, one of the streets, the longest avenue of the capital and the central park, which today will also host events dedicated to the birthday of Costa Khetagurov, wrote the head of the capital Vyacheslav Mildzikhov in his Telegram channel.
